Penson’s provides the warm embrace of excellent service paired with locally grown produce and a seasonal tasting menu for a really special winter evening experience, extend your visit with a stay in one of their luxurious rooms. Still near Tenbury Wells bundle into The Peacock Inn for quintessentially cosy pub decor with hanging hops, wood panelling and roaring wood burner. In the town centre, Unwined Bar & Bistro provides the food, drinks and candle-lit vibes ideal for whiling away the long, dark evenings and new to the scene Mr Thoms Cafe, Bar & Grill is a lively addition to Tenbury’s evening offer.

In Upton upon Severn gather at Ye Olde Anchor Inn, a black and white timber framed pub dating back as far as the 1600’s. With the fire roaring in a traditional hearth and good quality food and drinks served there’s no better place to be merry this winter. In Great Malvern, perfectly placed at the foot of the hills for a post walk pause, The Nags Head supplies a snug interior complete with both inside and outside fires and seasonal Christmas menu throughout December.

Dazzling Entertainment

Let the bright lights, dazzling costumes and sweet sounds of the theatre coax you out on a winter’s night. The Regal, in Tenbury Wells, has plenty to show on stage and screen this winter, and who doesn’t like an excuse to swap your pjs for something a little more glamorous for a night of culture. Spend an evening laughing with American comic Rich Hall, dance in the aisles with ABBA Sensation or get in the Christmas spirit with this year’s professional panto, Aladdin.

On stage at Malvern Theatres enjoy a new story inspired by Mary Shelley’s classic Frankenstein. This thriller with have spines tingling with it’s stunning original score. Comedian Frankie Boyle brings his new tour to Malvern Theatres on 22 November – the famous comedian will be serving up plenty of laughs alongside sardonic commentary. There’s so much more to see from music, opera, ballet to panto and thrillers.

In Malvern cinema they are playing some old classics such as The Wizard of Oz and E.T as well as ballet from the Royal Ballet and plays from the National Theatre.

For a more intimate live music experience West Malvern Social Club host’s Jazz Jams, Quiz Nights, singer-songwriters and folk bands. The Cube Community Centre presents a wide range of music and entertainment nights from theatre to jazz, to folk music.

Bars & Nightlife

Malvern Lounge Bar

Carry on the fun all night as many pubs and bars across The Malverns offer quiz nights and regular live music sessions as well as a spot to meet friends, chat and share a drink. Bar 7 in Upton puts on theme nights, music acts and happy hours as well as live sport. As a town with music at its heart many of Upton’s pubs host live bands; check out The Plough Inn and The Boathouse to see what they have going on.

In Great Malvern keep an eye on OCC as they host regular parties, comedy nights and DJ’s. The Water Cure often hosts live music, which adds to the atmosphere of this art deco style cocktail bar. With a good range of inventive cocktails, we guarantee you will taste something new. Malvern Lounge is a great spot for a drink with friends. The cosy covered terrace has beautiful views of Great Malvern Priory, and their Margaritas aren’t bad either. The Red Lion has a fantastic friendly atmosphere as well as regular quiz nights and live music.
