Arts and Crafts

The Fold

The Fold have many workshops and classes for you to try your hand at something new. Everything from sewing, jewellery, painting, decorating, and cooking from local experts and artisans. There are also many sessions around growing your own organic garden and caring for fresh fruit and vegetables. A current highlight is Lost Wax Ring Making – carve your design out of wax and see it transformed into silver jewellery.

Elmslie House

Elmslie House run various art and craft workshops throughout the year. Learn the art of leaf printing with maker and textiles enthusiast Clare Walsh. Explore the colour, texture and pattern you can create when printing with real leaves on fabric – then take your creation home to craft into something new or leave as a beautiful artwork.

Gerald Savine

More art is on offer from Gerald Savine who teach regular painting classes from their riverside studio in Upton upon Severn. Perfect for beginners but also suitable for those with more experience these intimate classes will teach you the fundamentals of painting like perspective and proportioning as well as dabbling with different mediums.


Fleen Doran pottery offers several options of workshops, ranging from regular classes, taster sessions and children’s sessions. As an professional in her field, her expertise is second to none and she is more than happy to share this with the attendees of her classes. Not just developing wheel-thrown skills and hand-building techniques, but also the skills she has developed in her work such as constructing pieces from slabs of clay. Pottery and clay sculpting classes are also on offer with Eastnor Pottery & The Flying Potter where you can learn the techniques of pottery in a beautiful rural location.

Creative Writing at The Cube

At the Cube, on Mondays at 2pm there is a creative writing group for anyone with a passion for literature no matter your level of prowess. From novice to Shakespeare, the group’s structure of feedback and weekly exercises will develop your writing style to the next level.

Colour Wheel Art Classes

Colour Wheel provide art classes for anyone regardless of experience, or lack thereof. To develop your art style or to simply express your creative side, these classes held in several beautiful locations are the perfect scenario to experiment with a range of mediums. Using pencil, charcoal, ink, pastels, watercolour and acrylic paints you will cover all the various forms of art from portraiture to landscapes.

Living Mosaics

 Victoria Harrison runs Living Mosaics, and holds mosaic workshops regularly at various locations around the West Midlands including Birmingham, Worcestershire and Herefordshire. You don’t need any prior experience, and at the end of the day session you can take home your gorgeous creation. From the basics of how to cut glass and ceramics to creating something beautiful out of nothing, there’s no one better than Harrison to guide you through.

Cyanotype and Tetra Pac Printing Workshops with Marie Therese

Set in eight acres of rolling grounds, Marie Therese holds Cyanotype and Tetra Pac Printing workshops for both adults and children. Learn this gorgeous craft and express your creativity, all led by an expert in her field.

If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at photography, Richard Barley leads one-to-one and group classes so you can fully understand this formidable art form. So many of us have a camera lying around unused, why not figure out what each button and function means- and take some spectacular photographs.

Malvern Archery offer a wide range of sessions for beginners led by trainers who are enthusiastic about introducing others into this incredible sport.  The club has been running for over a hundred years, and the members enjoy the relaxing yet physically and competitively challenging sport.


Colliers Cookery School

Harriet Wakeford, owner at Colliers Cookery School, oversees the various cooking courses offered by various professionals. Whatever your culinary query, there’s a course to solve it. From preparing to go to university, vegetarian specific, patisserie, foreign cuisine and many more. Even down to individual skills such as using a knife in the kitchen.

Our Lizzy Vegan Cookery School

Our Lizzy is a cookery school that specialises in vegan cooking. Offering a wide range of dishes from different cuisines using locally grown and seasonal produce, there is something everyone can learn. Classes are open to all regardless of experience or cooking ability and are enjoyed by vegetarians, vegans and everyone in between.
