West Midlands’ biggest festive experience returns for 2023: 24 November 2023 – 6 January 2024 (excluding 25 & 26 December)
Winter Glow will return to the Three Counties Showground in Malvern in 2023, offering even more magical experiences to guarantee a truly unforgettable Christmas.
Open from Friday 24 November 2023 – Saturday 6 January 2024 (closed 25 & 26 December 2023), families, couples, and friends will have six weeks to enjoy a range of festive experiences with several new activities for 2023, including elf circus skills workshops, pet experiences, and an extended light trail.
Enjoy one of the region’s largest indoor ice rinks, sheltered from the elements and festively decorated, before taking a break to savour a cup of steaming hot chocolate from the Ice Cafe or mulled wine from Jingle’s Bavarian Winter Bar. Grab some warming food from the Indoor Food Quarter, before exploring our brand-new indoor Christmas Market, where local makers, bakers and artisans will entice visitors with a range of unique arts, crafts, gifts and tasty treats.
Santa’s Grotto Experience
Groups of up to eight can join Santa and his elves on an immersive adventure into a magical world. The personalised experience begins with an invitation from Santa and includes a trip to Mrs Claus’ bakery, the toy workshop, the winter village, and a meeting with Santa.
New for 2023, children visiting Winter Glow’s unique Santa grotto experience are also invited to join the Elf Circus Skills Training Academy and receive an elf academy badge.
Ice Skating
There’s no better way to get into the holiday spirit than skating along to festive classics. With one of the largest all-weather ice rinks in the West Midlands surrounded by giant glistening snowflakes and beautiful decorations, Winter Glow’s ice skating experience perfectly captures the magic of Christmas.
Light Trail
Transport yourself to a winter wonderland and explore the story of the Golden Snowflake at one of the West Midlands’ longest outdoor light trails. Created by local creative artists, lighting designers, and craft persons, the trail will take families on a journey around the North Pole with Santa’s head elf, Jingle, as he embarks on an exciting adventure to bring the precious golden snowflake home.
Fairground
Returning for this festive season, friends and families can race on the Dodgems, get lost in a festive adventure in the Funhouse, and jump around on bungee trampolines. Visitors can also try their luck at the fairground games. Thrill-seekers will also enjoy the festive fairground which has been expanded this year to include bigger and better rides.
Christmas Market
With stalls offering local arts and crafts to children’s books and homeware, there will be plenty of gift ideas for friends and family in Winter Glow’s free-to-enter covered market.
Food Quarter
Expect next-level indulgence with the most incredible festive food Malvern and the surrounding areas have to offer. The Winter Glow Food Quarter, Ice Café, and Winter Bar will be serving up a mouth-watering selection of food and drinks from local vendors including Brisket Brothers, the Groovy Greek, Yorkshire Pudding Wraps, and pizza.
