Accommodation

The Malverns offers plenty of options for accessible accommodation from hotels with a view, to cosy ground floor garden flats. For example, The Cottage in The Wood hotel has a fully accessible fine dining restaurant and dedicated fully accessible bedroom including designated parking spot and accessible shower. At No.44 Cowleigh Road enjoy a bright and spacious garden flat which is wheelchair friendly, or book into Holly Lodge – an accessible wooden cabin.

Attractions

The Malverns is full of history and heritage, and many of our attractions have taken accessibility into account. Croome National Trust has lots of accessible facilities such as designated parking, accessible route maps and Trampers available to hire for free. Eastnor Castle has a lift for wheelchair users to access the ground floor state rooms and an accessible café. Elgar’s Birthplace The First National Trust has wheelchair access to the visitor centre and garden and the house has seating available.

Theatre

Malvern Theatres offers half price tickets to carers, step free seating, and wheelchair spaces in prime locations. They also offer infrared hearing assistance and accessible performances such as captioned, signed, audio described or relaxed. Please note that access to Malvern Theatres may be limited by current renovations. The Coach House Theatre is fully accessible with close and easy parking and The Regal Tenbury Wells offers spaces for wheelchair users and free entry to support companions – please contact The Regal in advance to discuss your visit.

The Malverns has 3 train stations, Colwall, Great Malvern and Malvern Link all of which have step free access and ramps available. Public and Accessible Toilets

Malvern, Upton upon Severn and Tenbury Wells each have plenty of public toilets, many of which have disabled access. Grange Road toilets are the latest to benefit from a round of renovations.

There are accessible changing places toilets at Croome National Trust and Malvern Theatres.
