Tenbury Wells – The Regal

Start your cultured weekend away by cosying into one of the comfortable self-catering accommodation options Tenbury offers. Spend your stay in a luxury grade II listed farmhouse, a fully kitted out award winning treehouse or a rustic converted hop pickers barn.

For evenings filled with comedy, theatre, music and much more head to The Regal in Tenbury Wells. The Regal has been entertaining the residents of Tenbury as well as those coming from far and wide to enjoy a show since the 1930’s. This year they are bringing a new Folk Festival to Tenbury Wells from 15 – 20 April 2024 with a strong line-up of folk musicians from Irish Bouzouki player Daoirí Farrell to folk duo The 4 of Us and Smith & Brewer.

For pre-show food taste the Teme Valleys local produce with fine dining at Herb at The Elms Hotel. In Tenbury town Unwined Bar & Bistro offers a relaxed atmosphere to have a glass of wine and sample some of their wide selection of tapas. Larger dishes like steak and paella are also on offer topped off with a delicious range of Mediterranean deserts. Not to be missed is the swish newly refurbished Market Tavern specialising in real ales and fresh pork pies and scotch eggs.

Great Malvern – The Coach House Theatre

More of a cosy and intimate theatre showing family friendly, experimental and community led projects. The Coach House Theatre has a welcoming atmosphere and shows a huge variety of productions from French film to Pantomimes. Seating between 80 and 100 you get a much more involved experience with performances happening just metres away. Built in the Victorian era as stables for the adjacent house, The Grange, the building had a few lives as a garage for Malvern Hills Council and store for scenery and costumes for Malvern Theatres. However, with much community involvement, the building has been incrementally improved since the 1990’s into the professional theatre it is today.
