Event Description
After being released from jail, Lang returns to his hometown on the edge of the Gobi Desert in Northwest China and starts working for the local dog patrol team, clearing the town before the 2008 Olympic Games. Here he strikes up an unlikely connection with a black dog and the two lonely souls embark on a new journey together.
Black Dog won top Un Certain Regard Award at Cannes Film Festival. The lead canine, Xiao Xin, a Jack Russell-Greyhound cross, received the Grand Jury Prize at the Palm Dog Award.
