Includes the tactics and deployments of the Royalist and Parliamentary forces at the battle of Powick Bridge (1642) and Cromwell and Prince Charles‘s final decisive Battle of Worcester (1651). Much historical interest, including visits to the site of the “bridges of boats”; Fort Royal; and Prince Charles’s HQ.

A flat easy walk on paths along the Teme and Severn Rivers, and to Fort Royal in the city, via the Birmingham and Worcester canal and the Diglis basin. A quick direct return route on quiet lanes.
