Malvern Artisan Craft Market is a monthly craft market in the centre of Great Malvern based at Lyttelton Well Hall. Kids Rule at Witley Court 25 May – 2 Jun 2024
Join in, at the grounds and gardens of Witley Court for hands-on activities and fresh-air family fun. There will be traditional Victorian games like skittles and croquet and learn all about what games people played in the days of yore, before iPads were invented. The beautiful grounds will be open as normal to see the gothic ruins and beautiful gardens at Witley Court.

Head to the historic Eastnor Castle for this nostalgic family fun day. There will be so much to see from an impressive fleet of steam engines and vintage cars to giant garden games, model steam engine rides, a vintage carousel, chair swing, old-fashioned dance workshops and pony rides. There will also be live music providing a festive atmosphere to this summer fun day. Tickets include access to the castle and grounds so there are also acres of gorgeous gardens in full bloom or the swish state rooms to see on your visit.
The Elgar Festival 27 May – 2 June 2024
Lauded as ‘Critic’s Pick’ in both The Guardian and The Times, the Elgar Festival is an annual live celebration of the life and music of Worcester’s most famous son and Britain’s great composer, Sir Edward Elgar (1857–1934). Set in and around the composer’s home city, the event comprises concerts given by the resident English Symphony Orchestra (ESO) under their Principal Conductor and Festival Artistic Director, Kenneth Woods, with guest artists including Zoë Beyers and Esther Abrami and featured composer, Steve Elcock.
Embodying the ethos ‘Elgar for Everyone’, the Elgar Festival engages with those of all ages and backgrounds in music and legacy at a number of integral venues of both historic interest and personal significance to the composer, including Worcester Cathedral and Guildhall. The festival takes place 27 May – 4 June 2024.
The exciting Elgar Route Morgan Rally will also take place on 28 May.

Attracting visitors both from the local area and further afield, a number of hardworking garden owners generously open their gardens for the National Garden Scheme on selected dates during the year. In addition, some gardens open by arrangement. This allows the wider public to enjoy these fabulous spaces whilst supporting the work of some fantastic charities. You’ll find more information about the long-running and perennially popular scheme, as well as the charities it supports, on the National Garden Scheme website.

There is just about a month left to catch the Dame Laura Night trail around The Malverns. Ending on 30 June 2024 the trail has been put on in connection with the Dame Laura Knight – I Paint Today exhibition taking place at Worcester Art Gallery.
Stops include locations across the Malvern Hills where Dame Laura Knight visited, painted and lived.
The trail is available to purchase from Malvern Tourist Information Office and the Worcester Art Gallery Museum and Shop from 13 January – 30 June 2024
Have a Musical Day Out at Priory Park – 26 May 2024
This summer the famous bands in the park are back. On 26 May alternative band Waiting for Gary will be playing from 3 – 5pm in the Priory Park bandstand and are sure to provide the soundtrack to a fun family day out in Priory Park. Whether you just want to sit under the trees, listen to the music and have an ice cream, or seek adventure in the fantastic adventure play park the park offers entertainment for all.
